My Sarah’s garden series are paintings I make every year from visits to Hillandale Gardens & Nursery in Yetholme, country NSW. It’s a cold climate, cottage garden with all my favourites from English country gardens. The series are simply numbered.
I’ve been painting Sarah and Andrew Ryan’s garden since 2010. Every year I get a little closer to how I want my images to be.
These paintings are made to celebrate female friendships, especially the ones we nurture later in life.
